Professor Ooi and Dr Joshi were co-investigators on  this clinical trial investigating a novel minimally-invasive, percutaneous, ultrasound-guided approach to stimulate the hypoglossal nerve (HGNS). This study found that stimulating the HGNS increases airflow to levels equivalent to therapeutic CPAP and improves airway collapsibility in people with OSA. Article link below
